Headstand

Headstand is one of the most importand posture in yoga . It is called king of the postures, father of all postures. I introduce headstand on my beginners course. In the headstand most of the body weight is on the elbows not on the head. If you feel too much of pressure on the head you should come down. Please dont learn to do the headstand on your own. You will end up hurting your neck. Always learn with an experienced teacher. There are 8 steps to come to the headstand . dont just jump to it. I teach more advanced headstand than probably anywhere as i give more priority to headstand than any other postures. When i am in the headstand I always close my eyes and focus on my breath. But i dont advise any of my students to close my eyes untill they have completely master the headstand.
